don't you just love...

just a thought...

I love how some things never seem interesting.. at all.. like watching someone play a board game or someone making some bread, or someone going to school..

But Anime can take those topics and make a whole series out of them.

and make it damn interesting.

Ok so I am thinking about Yakitate Japan here.. (about bakers)

I dont understand how it is so good :)

Also the way everything is so intense and everything is exagerated, like in the theatre. If I watched a series in a weekend the rest of the week I notice myself daydreaming that I am in an anime show..
But that happens when I play mariokart too long aswell.

well yakitate japan's main attraction i would guess is the offbeat topic, and the puns/jokes that it makes, even the name is a pun,

I love that show.

I don't understand most all the puns, but I love the series anyway. :)

well the fansubs went through the trouble of explaning all the puns on the top of the screen, when the puns are said

I know. And I pause to read them, but I guess I'm not smart enough to find the humor in them. I think it's more of a cultural thing, so... eh. The rest is still entertaining. :)

I have tried watching Yakitate Japan, and so far I can't get into it. I am going to give it a few more eps before I give up though.

Just the first couple eps., that is why I want to watch more before I make a final decision.

Have heard of this anime, but haven't watched it though...O.o...
I need to get more disk space on my comp in order to watch it!!!

Other then that, i totaly agree with the fact tat in real life, things that seem so utterly boring and dull turn into somthing completely awsome, in a way, when it's veiwed in an anime form, it just takes a whole different meaning or such!
And when u try to explain it to some one...eh...they fall asleep...O.o

But that's the beauty of anime! =D

xxxNabs!!

I think part of the charm of anime is how much more its characters care about things than we do in real life. Like in Yakitate Japan--everybody lives for the moments when they take a bite of bread and are suddenly transported to France/psychadelic land/paradise, right?
